Night Bright é o nome de uma instalação interativa onde as crianças usam o corpo para descobrir a vida em uma floresta durante a noite. Ouvindo os ruídos que as criaturas fazem elas podem localizá-los. Algumas delas são curiosas e irão em direção à luz, outras são tímidas  e se esconderão nas sombras. Usando a luz, as crianças podem também ajudar plantas a crescer e soltar vagalumes de flores. Os vagalumes iluminam a floresta e ajudam a localizar as criaturas escondidas na escuridão. 
Night Bright foi criado para o café Bumble em Los Altos, na California.

Night Bright is an interactive installation of nocturnal discovery where children use their bodies to light up the nighttime forest and discover the creatures that inhabit it.  Listening to the creatures' sounds children can locate them in the forest. Some creatures are curious and will investigate the light, while others are frightened and will hide in the shadows.  Using their light, children can grow nocturnal plants and release fireflies from their flowers.  The fireflies illuminate the environment and help locate the creatures hiding in the forest.
Night Bright was created for the Bumble children's cafe in Los Altos, California. I suggest you to watch the video, it's amazing!

Anne Kurris era uma graphic designer que entrou para o mundo da moda na Antuérpia, Bélgica. Ela trabalhou com Gaultier e Dries Van Noten. Em 1998  começou sua própria coleção para crianças entre 6 e 18 anos. 

Anne Kurris was graphic turned fashion designer in her hometown, Antwerp, Belgium. She used to work fo Gaultier and  Dries Van Noten. In 1998 she started her own children's line for kids from 6 to 18 years old.

Bumble é a versão de Los Altos, California, do restaurante/café para crianças Moomah em New York. Aqui os pais fazem suas refeições enquanto os cotocos brincam no playroom ou no tanquinho de areia, do lado de fora. Lugar perfeito para um brunch de domingo.

Bumble restaurant (well, it's really a children's cafe) is located in Los Altos, California, and it's just like Moomah in New York. At Bumble parents can enjoy their meal while the kids play at the sand box outside or at the playroom. Perfect choice for sunday brunch, isn't it?

des jouets et des hommes

Mil brinquedos da antiguidade até hoje, todos em uma só mostra! Nada dessa magnitude foi visto antes: bonecas antigas, Barbies, trens, aviões, barcos, ursinhos, brinquedos de corda, videogames, soldadinhos de chumbo e figuras de plástico, arcas de Noé e até um Papai Noel em um avião.

A nova mostra Des Jouets et des Hommes / Of Toys and Men no Grand Palais em Paris conta a história dos brinquedos ocidentais e orientais. 

Des Jouets et des Hommes pode ser vista até 23 de Janeiro de 2012. Depois disso ela vai para o Helsinki Art Museum onde fica de 21 de Fevereiro até 20 de Maio de 2012. 

A thousand toys from Antiquity to the present day, all in one exhibition! Nothing of such scope has ever been attempted before: antique dolls, royal dolls, Barbie dolls, trains, planes, boats, bears of all sorts, astonishingly lifelike clockwork toys, warlike videogames, lead soldiers and plastic figurines, flying saucers, Noah’s arks and even Father Christmas in an aeroplane.

The new exhibition Des Jouets et des Hommes / Of Toys and Men at the Grand Palais in Paris shows the history of toys from the Western world and Japan.

Des Jouets et des Hommes can be seeing until January 23, 2012. After Paris, the exhibition will be moving to Helsinki Art Museum on 21 Feb through 20th May 2012.

I subscribe to Daily Candy since it started. I've always been in love with the illustrations that came along with the text openings. In the beginning it was signed by Ruben Toledo, then it changed and I never found out who was behind the lovely images. Until today. Ohh, what a joy!

Fred&Ginger is a belgian brand made for kids from 0 to 14 years old. The images are from their winter 2011 collection. Look at the background, how adorable. I always say that one can make all kinds of things, but a only a few can make them well.

die katze kindergarten

Para simbolizar a amizade franco-alemã (entre as regiões de Baden-Württemberg e a Alsace) foi inaugurado o jardim de infância Die Katze, na Alemanha. O projeto de arquitetura foi criado pelo autor Tomi Ungerer, que tem mais de 140 livros publicados, e Ayla-Suzan Yöndel.

To symbolize the friendship between the regions of Baden-Württemberg, in Germany, and Alsace, in France, Tomi Ungerer, author with more than 140 published books and Ayla-Suzan Yöndel created the Die Katze kindengarten.
