Liliane Dolls Villa criou uma super casinha de bonecas. Não fosse só isso, um beneficiário doou para cada abrigo de mulheres da Holanda um exemplar. 

As casinhas estimulam contato entre as crianças que estão vivendo o mesmo tipo de situação, onde sentimentos de humilhação e vergonha são extravasados em brincadeiras entre elas. As mães também participam, criando uma atmosfera mais relax brincando com os filhos. As casinhas de bonecas funcionam como uma forma de terapia para essas famílias.

Liliane Dolls Villa created the ultimate doll house. Not only that, a sponsor  donated a Liliane leading dolls villa to every women’s shelter in the Netherlands.

At women’s shelters, the villa stimulates contact between children who are in similar situations. Feelings of shame and humiliation are released through the children’s ability to share these feelings with one another. Their mothers also join in, helping to create a relaxed atmosphere in which they can spend quality time with their children, something which has been absent in these families for so long. The villa is also used as a form of therapeutic play.

Como mencionou o site Ohdeedoh, a nova linha de cama de Thomas Paul não foi feita pensando em crianças, mas assim como eles, eu concordo que a linha pode estar em qualquer quarto de criança ou teen.

As Ohdeedoh mentioned, Thomas Paul hasn'tl created this bedding line with children in mind, but it does feel right at home in a kid's room and could easily transition through the teen years.

moda: winter water factory

A Winter Water Factory fica no Brooklin, NY, e é assinada por Stefanie Lynen, uma entusiasta da estamparia.

O nome é super original. “Winterwasserfabrik” vem dos anos 80 em Eschweiler, na Alemanha, onde Stefanie e sua irmã costumavam, no inverno, a engarrafar neve derretida e brincavam de vender para sua família como “winter water.” 

Brooklin based Winter Water Factory is signed by Stefanie Lynen, a textile aficionada.

The original “Winterwasserfabrik” was founded in the early 1980s in Eschweiler, Germany, where Stefanie and her sister bottled melted snow and sold it to their parents as “winter water.” 

rubber tree

Criada para ser uma área para brincadeiras para crianças refugiadas na Tailândia, a Rubber Tree da designer holandesa AnneMarie van Splunter recicla materiais descartados. 

Imitando as raízes das árvores, essa instalação é fácil de construir pois requer somente material local: pneus de motos, corda e e bambu. Os pneus que dão forma à árvore são seguros por bambu sem a necessidade de se usar nenhum tipo de metal.

Conceived as a playground for refugee children in Thailand, dutch designer AnneMarie van Splunter’s ‘Rubber Tree’ envisions a play area constructed entirely of reused and sustainable materials. 

Imitating the long and expanding roots of a real rubber tree, this installation would be relatively easy to build requiring only local materials including motorbike tires, bamboo and rope. The recycled tires that give form to the tree are held in place by conjoined lengths of bamboo that thread throughout the structure without need for metal hardware.

A Orbit, empresa californiana, vai lançar na primavera de 2012 o Helix2 e acabar com esse dilema de  bad design de uma vez por todas.
