A fotógrafa japonesa Ariko Inaoka viaja para a Islândia todos os anos no verão, para fotografar duas meninas gêmeas chamadas Erna e Hrefna.
Em 2006 ela conheceu as meninas, que tinham então 6 anos de idade, em um casting de moda feito por Inaoka. Em 2009 a fotógrafa reencontrou as meninas e começou a tirar fotos delas todo verão, visitando-as em Reykjavik, onde vivem. Inaoka pretende continuar o projeto até que elas estejam com 16 anos, documentando um dos períodos mais preciosos da vida - o da transição da infância para a adolescência.
Japanese photographer Ariko Inaoka travels to Iceland every year on the summer, to photograph two twin girls named Erna and Hrefna.
Back in 2006 she met the girls, then 6 years old, in a fashion photoshoot casting being held by Inaoka. In 2009, the photographer reconnected with the girls and started taking pictures of them every summer, visiting them in Reikjavik’s downtown, where they live. Inaoka is hoping to be able to continue the project until they’re 16 and document one of the most precious periods of life – the transition from childhood to adolescence.
